On June 18th 2020, the Mayor of Wiesbaden City Dr. Oliver Franz received 10,000 medical protective masks from Kingfa Sci. & Tech. (Europe), GmbH. The company, which is located in the Kalle-Albert industrial park since 2016,made the donation as a sign of its solidarity with the city of Wiesbaden.These masks will be distributed to the citizens by the fire department in Wiesbaden.
On behalf of Kingfa headquarter in Guangzhou, Dr. Donghai Sun, the Deputy General Manager of Kingfa Europe, donated 10,000 medical protective masks to Mayor Dr. Oliver Franz, who is also responsible for local COVID-19 prevention.
Dr. Oliver Franz said: “Companies in Wiesbaden have made an important contribution to fight the epidemic. We are very pleased that with the support of Kingfa headquarter and Kingfa Europe, the epidemic in Wiesbaden is under control''.
“Merck Performance Materials has taken on the production of disinfectants based on the alcohol donated by Henkell Freixenet. The plant fire brigade of the site operating company InfraServ Wiesbaden has ensured the necessary transports for this. These are exemplary initiatives in the interest of our common good, which are now being continued by Kingfa. ”
Dr. Donghai Sun, Deputy General Manager of Kingfa Europe, said: “In spring 2020, the subsidiary of Kingfa in Qingyuan city, Guangdong Province started to produce protective materials to fight with the COVID-19 epidemic. Today we are able to produce up to 20 million certified protective masks daily in various standards and deliver them worldwidely. ”
“We thank Mayor Dr. Franz for his willingness to accept this donation. We are currently looking into ways to set up production facilities for protective products to combat the COVID-19 epidemic here in Wiesbaden as well. ”
Kingfa Europe now has around 30 employees and provides advanced materials to automotive and electrical industries. The production capacity amounts to around 30,000 tons annually.
