Where Lies the Mask Technology of Kingfa Medical?
Oct. 21, 2024

In 2020, driven by market demand and underpinned by its profound technical expertise, Kingfa Medical ventured into the production of masks.

Leveraging its unique material technology advantages, Kingfa Medical's products have obtained medical device and civil protective product certifications in multiple countries and regions, including China, the European Union, and the United States. Its products are exported to over 30 countries and regions, serving more than 100 renowned enterprises and national government agencies worldwide.

What unique technological advantages do Kingfa Medical's high-efficiency, low-resistance masks possess? And how does Kingfa Medical ensure the performance and quality of its mask products in the competitive market?

Core Performance of Masks

As Academician Li Jianjun, Chief Scientist of Kingfa Technology, Foreign Member of the Russian Engineering Academy, and Director of the China National Advanced Polymer Materials Industry Innovation Center explains, the masks primarily utilize polypropylene material, featuring a three-layer structural design. In particular, the melt-blown fabric in the middle layer achieves efficient particulate filtration.

Filtration Efficiency: Represents the ability to block pathogens and particulates. The Chinese national standard sets a minimum requirement of PFE ≥ 95%, while Kingfa's standard is PFE ≥ 99%.

Breathing Resistance: Reflects ease of breathing, comfort during prolonged wear, and potential lung damage. The Chinese national standard stipulates a maximum resistance of ≤343.2Pa, whereas Kingfa's standard is ≤100Pa.

Fit Factor: Indicates the level of protection, particularly crucial for workers exposed to hazardous environments. The Chinese national standard requires a fit factor ≥ 100, while Kingfa's standard is ≥ 130.

Innovative Mask Technologies

The melt-blown fabric, serving as the "heart" of the mask, directly influences its filtration effectiveness. Kingfa Medical has significantly enhanced the performance of melt-blown fabric through its exclusively developed Fully Electret Technology. This technology utilizes high-pressure water flow for electrostatic charging, not only improving production efficiency but also substantially boosting filtration efficiency while reducing ventilation resistance, thereby facilitating smoother breathing. Thanks to its profound material expertise, Kingfa Medical's masks offer five times higher breathability than ordinary masks, allowing for activities like running while worn. They manage to isolate bacteria while reducing respiratory resistance.

Ultrapure High-Speed Water Tribo-Charging Technology: Through fluid mechanics analysis of high-pressure water flow, an ultra-fine, high-speed water-based electrostatic charging nozzle and overall equipment scheme were designed to achieve true deep-layer electrostatic charging. Compared to traditional water-based methods, production efficiency is increased by 50%, and filtration efficiency is improved by an order of magnitude.

Fully Electret Technology:This technology offers lower ventilation resistance. At the same filtration efficiency, its ventilation resistance is more than 50% lower than that of traditional corona-based electrostatic charging products, enhancing breathing comfort. Furthermore, under accelerated aging conditions of 85°C and 85% humidity, the decline in filtration efficiency is minimal, ensuring stable protective performance even after exposure to harsh storage and transportation conditions

Balancing Innovation and Quality

Kingfa Medical's masks have consistently followed a high-end approach, striving for customer satisfaction and pursuing "zero" defects in products. In the quality inspection process, Kingfa Medical maintains strict controls and adheres to a rigorous quality inspection procedure, encompassing filtration efficiency testing, resistance testing, blood penetration testing, fit factor testing, and appearance testing. Each test is interconnected to ensure that all aspects of the mask meet the highest quality standards.

The company currently holds a comprehensive range of domestic and international certification qualifications, with 222 product registration certifications in China, the European Union, the United States, and other countries. It has also obtained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices Quality Management System certification from TUV.

To address the inefficiency of manual sampling inspections for mask appearance, which does not meet the demands of mass production, Kingfa Medical has introduced an online visual inspection system for masks. This system utilizes high-resolution cameras and high-performance visual inspection algorithms to identify defects on the mask surface. Through online automatic identification, the system effectively ensures that defective masks do not proceed to the packaging process.

We have established a Class 100,000 clean production workshop to ensure product cleanliness and safety. We possess a nationally recognized laboratory with strong research and development and testing capabilities. An online detection and analysis room is equipped for real-time monitoring to guarantee product quality. Utilizing an ERP system and a MES manufacturing system, along with strict quality standards and inspection plans, Kingfa Medical's masks have passed 28 consecutive random inspections for exports to Europe, fully demonstrating their quality and reliability.

The story of Kingfa Medical is one of innovation, responsibility, and global health. It has not only created new technologies for protecting life and health but also contributed to global public health security. In the future, Kingfa Medical will continue to safeguard the health and safety of more people with its high-quality products.
